This role is responsible for leading the strategic management, compliance, and continuous improvement of transportation operations within the logistics function. The Transport Manager will drive efficiency and optimization across the logistics network while contributing to cost reduction, service level enhancement, and the development of a sustainable supply chain.

The position aims to ensure stable and secure logistics operations through effective transport partner management and performance optimization. In addition, the role plays a key part in minimizing operational risks from compliance, security, and business continuity perspectives, while driving continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

1. Transport Partner Management

  • Manage and monitor transport partners (carriers and 3PL providers), including performance management

  • Ensure compliance with contracts and Service Level Agreements (SLAs)

  • Lead daily transport operations and issue resolution

  • Conduct regular carrier performance assessments

2. Performance Management & Continuous Improvement

  • Define, monitor, and manage KPIs (e.g., on-time delivery, lead time, transport cost, damage rate)

  • Conduct regular performance reviews (weekly, monthly, quarterly business reviews)

  • Analyze data to identify issues and perform root cause analysis

  • Develop and implement improvement initiatives based on performance insights

  • Drive continuous improvement (Kaizen) projects in collaboration with transport partners

3. Tender Management & Carrier Strategy

  • Plan and execute regular tenders (RFP/RFQ) for transport partners

  • Evaluate proposals based on cost, service quality, capacity, and risk

  • Support vendor selection and contract renewal processes

  • Establish backup solutions and onboard new carriers in alignment with BCP requirements

4. Transport Compliance & Governance

  • Deploy and enforce Richemont transport policies and guidelines

  • Provide training and communication to Maisons to ensure compliance

  • Report transport-related incidents to HQ

  • Support internal and external audit processes

5. Hand Carry & Special Transport Operations

  • Manage hand-carry operations

  • Coordinate training programs in collaboration with the Security team

  • Oversee registration, evaluation, and management of hand carriers

  • Prepare and submit exception requests and follow through HQ validation

6. Event Logistics Management

  • Provide logistics support for High Jewelry events (primarily Cartier and Van Cleef & Arpels)

    • Develop logistics concepts and plans

    • Conduct site inspections

    • Submit and follow up on exception requests and approvals

    • Provide on-site logistics support during events

    • Coordinate with secure transport providers

    • Collaborate with Security teams and Maisons

7. Security Interface Management

  • Act as the liaison between warehouse operations and the Security team

  • Lead implementation and improvement of security-related operations, including:

    • Access control systems

    • Metal detection gates

    • Guard management

  • Ensure security policies are effectively embedded into operational processes

8. Business Continuity Planning (BCP)

  • Evaluate transport risks based on BCP frameworks

  • Secure alternative transport solutions and backup carriers

  • Lead transport operations during emergency situations

9. Stakeholder Management

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with internal stakeholders (Warehouse, Customer Service, Security, HQ, Maisons)

  • Support transport design for projects and operational changes

  • Ensure alignment with HQ through regular communication and reporting

Skills & Experience

  • 3–5 years of experience in logistics and transportation operations

  • Native-level Japanese and business-level English (TOEIC score: 800 or above)

  • Experience in managing transport partners and/or 3PL providers

  • Strong KPI management and data analysis skills (Excel, BI tools)

  • Experience in vendor evaluation and tender processes

  • Solid understanding of compliance and security requirements

主な職務内容(Key Responsibilities)

1. 輸送パートナー管理(Transport Partner Management)

  • キャリア/3PLのパフォーマンス管理および関係構築

  • 契約およびSLA遵守のモニタリング

  • 日常オペレーションの統括・問題解決

  • 定期的なパートナー評価の実施

2. パフォーマンス管理・改善推進(Performance & Kaizen)

  • KPIの設計・管理(OTD、リードタイム、コスト、ダメージ率など)

  • 週次・月次・Quarterlyレビューのリード

  • データ分析に基づく課題特定・原因分析

  • 改善施策の立案・実行

  • パートナーと連携した改善プロジェクト推進

3. 入札・キャリア戦略(Tender & Carrier Strategy)

  • RFP/RFQの企画・実行

  • コスト・品質・キャパシティ・リスクを踏まえた評価

  • ベンダー選定・契約更新のリード

  • BCPに基づくバックアップキャリア体制構築

4. コンプライアンス・ガバナンス(Compliance & Governance)

  • グループ輸送ポリシーの展開・徹底

  • メゾンへのトレーニング・周知

  • インシデントのHQレポーティング

  • 内部/外部監査対応

5. ハンドキャリー・特殊輸送(Special Logistics)

  • ハンドキャリーオペレーションの統括

  • セキュリティチームとの連携によるトレーニング

  • ハンドキャリアの管理・評価

  • HQ承認を伴う例外対応の管理

6. イベントロジスティクス(High Jewelry Events)

  • ハイジュエリーイベント(主にCartier / Van Cleef & Arpels)の物流支援

    • 輸送計画の策定

  • 物流・輸送領域での実務経験(3〜5年以上)
