CONTEXT
Richemont’s Regional Finance function is one of the Group’s support functions that enables our Maisons to enter new markets more easily, to focus on their strength in design, creation, sales and marketing. The Regional Finance function, among other, makes a regular and significant contribution to the Group’s sales growth and operating margins.
As part of the “Europe” Region finance team, the Internal Control Intern supports the increasing need for compliance and requirements for internal control, in line with the Group Internal control guidelines and requirements.
The Internal Control Intern reports to the Senior Internal Control Specialist Europe. He/she will support for:
- The legal entity in charge of wholesale business in Europe: supporting the increasing need of compliance for internal control, in line with the Group Internal Control guidelines and requirements.
- Coordinating the teams within all watches and jewelry Maisons and 7 European markets, managing the distribution business, including Retail, E-commerce & partners: UK, France, Iberia, Italy, Switzerland, Benelux, Northern Europe.
- Coordinating with other entities and functions to harmonize procedures and implement process simplifications.
The Internal Control Intern position involves being in contact with a very broad range of actors internally and externally: local Internal Control & Retail Back-office teams, Brands’ Europe Management, Group and Regional functions, as well as internal and external auditors.
The position is based in Meyrin, Geneva within our ‘Campus Genevois de Haute Horlogerie’, and starting between September/February for a period of 6 months.

HOW WILL YOU MAKE AN IMPACT?
Support the internal control activities of the legal entity:
- Review and maintain controls and risks matrices, perform subsequent testing and issue adequate reporting to Group in line with management’s expectations.
- Review system access rights and inherent segregation of duties, and ensure mitigations are in place.
- Prepare and supervise annual stock count for warehouses and wholesaler stocks.
Support internal control activities for Europe region:
- Support management in ad‐hoc initiatives aimed at strengthening the compliance effort for local and Europe internal control community.
- Document or provide guidelines for documenting processes, procedures and user guides.
- Support continuous improvement and digitalization by developing automation, reporting solutions to improve control design and process efficiency.
- Ensure clear communication by animating the Europe Internal Control SharePoint.
HOW WILL YOU EXPERIENCE SUCCESS WITH US ?
- You are doing a Master degree or are recently graduated (Business or Engineering School) with a strong willingness to enter internal control.
- You are at ease with data manipulation (Excel, Power Query/BI, VBA,…) and understand the impacts of the master data management on the daily operations.
- You have a strong team spirit, you are proactive, enthusiastic, and motivated by problem solving and continuous improvement tasks.
- You have good attention to detail: accurate and highly observant on actions & tasks to be performed
- You have the ability to see the big picture and summarise.
- You have good organizational skills: able to manage multiple tasks and prioritize based on feedback from the team.
