Role Overview

The Merchandising & Operations Assistant Manager is tasked with assisting in overseeing the region's merchandising and operations strategies and supporting the regional boutique and e-commerce teams. This role includes the responsibility of stock rebalancing to ensure that inventory levels across the region are optimized to meet market demand while maintaining the brand's luxury status.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Inventory Management & Optimization:
    • Regional Scarcity Management: Strategically manage regional stock levels, applying scarcity principles to enhance brand exclusivity and ensure optimal distribution. Customize the product assortment to the regional market's needs while maintaining brand exclusivity.
    • Manage the inventory flow of jewelry, watches, and accessories across all channels, with a focus on regular stock rebalancing to optimize inventory throughout the network.
    • Proactively conduct stock rebalancing across the region's boutiques and distribution centers to align with current market demands and sales trends, preventing overstock and mitigating stockouts.
    • Manage the flow of all back-to-back orders and product launches for jewelry and timepieces within the assigned region.
    • Manage stock for new boutique openings within the region, ensuring clear communication on status with all cross-functional and warehouse teams.
  • Data-Driven Reporting & Analysis:
    • Analyze and distribute monthly boutique stock reporting, identifying trends and opportunities, and taking necessary action.
    • Develop and maintain comprehensive reports to monitor stock levels, shortages, and the effectiveness of stock rebalancing strategies within the region.
    • Leverage improved dashboards for real-time visibility into inventory, distribution, and the impact of rebalancing efforts, supporting informed strategic decisions.
  • Boutique Support & Compliance:
    • Serve as the key contact for inquiries related to inventory and sold order management for the assigned region, covering jewelry, watches, accessories, and all sales-necessary materials.
    • Build and develop strong relationships with boutique management through regular touchpoints to discuss stock opportunities and boutique needs.
    • Ensure proper merchandising procedures and guidelines are followed at the boutiques, providing guidance and clarity if needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
  • Minimum four to five years’ experience in a merchandising or supply chain role, preferably in luxury goods
  • Performance Standards: Demonstrated ability to meet or exceed key performance metrics related to supply chain and inventory management.
  • Technical Requirements: Proficiency in advanced inventory management systems (e.g., Anaplan and SAP) and data analytics tools. Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software.
  • Personal Skills: Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills; ability to manage multiple priorities and projects.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Language Skills: Proficiency in English; additional language skills are a plus.
