HOW WILL YOU MAKE AN IMPACT
Are you passionate about Compliance, Risk Management and Process Improvement? Are you interested in exploring the diverse projects within the Cartier International Risk & Compliance Department?
As an International Compliance Risk Manager, you will be responsible for the Maison Compliance Risk Framework, aiming to strengthen adherence to applicable Legal and Regulatory requirements through a structured and comprehensive approach. You will be reporting to Cartier International Head of Risk and Compliance and will be based in Meyrin (Switzerland).
Cartier International Risk & Compliance Department reports to the Maison CFO and mainly covers the following scope of responsibilities:
- Regulatory compliance, related to the adherence to external Laws and Regulations relevant to the activities of the Maison.
- Business compliance, encompasses Cartier internal rules, procedures, control framework and business processes.
- Risk management, involves identifying the Maison's strategic risks through an Enterprise Risk Management approach and defining appropriate mitigation plans.
In a context of increasing volume, complexity and pace of regulatory change across Regions and Functions, and the deployment of Maison sustainability initiatives, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced Compliance Risk Manager. This role will involve two key missions:
Defining and leading the Maison’s Compliance Risk framework, contributing to the Group-wide Regulatory, Risk & Compliance Monitoring strategic initiative; Supporting the Cartier Sustainability team as the Maison Finance Sustainability Lead.
Compliance Risk Management (80%)
- Creating a comprehensive Compliance Risk Management Governance structure for the Maison, engaging key stakeholders from all Functions and Regions.
- Coordinating this Risk Network by establishing a communication, consultation and engagement strategy.
- Delivering training to Compliance Risk Stakeholders to ensure a successful IRM tool adoption.
- Conducting the assessment of the Maison's Compliance and Regulatory risks, in collaboration with subject matter experts. These risk categories arise from legal and regulatory obligations and encompasses diverse domains such as Finance (e.g., money laundering), Legal (e.g., antitrust, conflicts of interest), Security, Procurement (e.g., responsible sourcing), IT, Sustainability, and Product Trade Compliance.
- Identifying existing controls, procedures and measures, and developing new action plans with the support of Maison Risk & Compliance Team, to address and mitigate identified risks.
- Establishing a continuous monitoring process to oversee the implementation of Compliance Risk Management strategies.
- Actively communicating and coordinating with Group Compliance to ensure alignment of vision and strategy.
- Maintaining Group IRM tool with relevant identified risks, actions, and outcomes obtained.
- Developing Key Risk Indicators (KRI) and establishing reporting on a regular basis.
- Communicating to Stakeholders in a clear and effective manner.
Sustainability Projects (20%)
As the Finance Sustainability Lead representing Cartier International Finance Department, you will provide operational support to the Cartier Sustainability team in all initiatives requiring Finance or Compliance expertise:
- Supporting the non-financial reporting process by assisting the Cartier Sustainability team with financial data collection and analysis on specific expense categories.
- Responding to regular Responsible Jewellery Council (RJC) certification and monitoring audits on all provisions related to Finance, Compliance and Regulatory matters (Cartier is certified against the RJC Code of Practices – COP- since 2010).
- Integrating RJC standards into Cartier compliance process and control design to ensure alignment between COP evolutions and Cartier Compliance framework.
- Contributing to the annual ISO 20121 certification for all Compliance-related matters, working in collaboration with other Maison functions (such as HR, Security, Marketing, and Commercial, etc.).
- Providing Financial Expertise for sustainability initiatives: partner with the Cartier Sustainability team on all finance-related initiatives.
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR
- You have a minimum of 10 years of professional experience in Compliance and Risk Management functions, or in Consulting activities, with a Master’s Degree in Business School, in Finance or in Law.
- You have a solid understanding of Regulatory and Compliance requirements, and Internal Control frameworks.
- You possess a strong history of effectively implementing and managing Risk Management frameworks.
- You have proven strong capacity to foster collaboration, teamwork, and cross-functional alignment.
- You demonstrate ability to articulate clear positions, defend them with conviction, and explain their rationale.
- You are able to organize a daily workload by priorities and demonstrate proven organizational & project management skills.
- You’re driven with the daily passion to cultivate high ethical standards and integrity to actively role model the Cartier’s compliance standards.
- You have ERP system knowledge (SAP, Power BI, Looker).
- You are able to manage stress and confidentiality with a high-level of discretion.
- You are at ease multitasking and rapidly adapt to changing priorities and schedules.
- You are fluent in multiple languages including mandatory spoken and written English.
