JOB MISSION
Working within the Marketing & Communication Department of Cartier Benelux & Nordics, the Events Coordinator reports to the PR & Events Manager and is responsible for coordinating and executing the Maison's event strategy across the market (Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, Sweden, Danmark).
The Events Coordinator will manage a diverse portfolio of commercial, client engagement, networking and image-driven events, ensuring flawless execution aligned with Cartier's standards of excellence and luxury experience.
The role also includes coordinating VIP client experiences, including travel arrangements, hospitality, entertainment and gifting initiatives associated with local and international Maison events. The Events Coordinator will work closely with Marketing, CRM, Client Relations, Commercial, Retail and Communications teams, as well as external agencies and partners, to deliver memorable and measurable client experiences.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Event Coordination & Planning
- Contribute to the development and implementation of the annual event strategy and event calendar for Benelux & Nordics
- Compile event requests from stakeholders and support the definition of clear objectives, target audience and KPIs for each event
- Identify innovative event concepts and retailtainment opportunities to drive client acquisition, retention and engagement
Project Management & Event Execution
- Coordinate the planning and execution of events, including:
- Product launches
- Boutique activations
- VIP client events
- Pop-ups
- Cultural and sponsorship events
- Networking and image-building events
- Manage logistics including venue sourcing, catering, audiovisual production, decoration, transportation, staffing, security, photography and entertainment
- Travel within the region and internationally to provide on-site event support when required
- Ensure all events are executed according to Cartier standards and local market requirements
- Support press events/trips and PR event coordination
Guest Management & CRM Coordination
- Work closely with CRM, Marketing and Commercial teams on guest selection strategies
- Coordinate invitations, mailing schedules, guest databases and RSVP tracking
- Monitor attendance and client engagement metrics
On-Site Event Management
- Oversee all event operations during setup, execution and dismantling phases
- Coordinate internal teams, agencies, suppliers and temporary staff
- Anticipate risks and provide real-time problem solving
- Ensure a consistent luxury client experience throughout every event touchpoint
Budget Management & Administration
- Monitor event expenditures and ensure spending remains within approved budgets
- Process purchase orders and invoices
- Manage monthly accruals, budget tracking and reclassification activities in collaboration with Finance
Performance Analysis & Reporting
- Measure event effectiveness through defined KPIs and performance metrics
- Analyse attendance, client engagement, CRM impact, sales conversion and ROI indicators
- Prepare comprehensive post-event reports and executive summaries for local and regional stakeholders
- Provide recommendations for continuous improvement and future event planning
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Hospitality, Event Management or related field
- Minimum 3 years of experience in event management, client experience or project management, preferably within luxury retail, fashion, hospitality or premium brands
- Experience managing VIP events and multi-stakeholder projects is highly desirable

- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; knowledge of event management and CRM tools is a plus
- Understanding of luxury brand standards and client expectations
- Fluency in English required
- Dutch and/or relevant language for the market (Swedish, Danish, Norwegian) would be a strong asset
