The Boutique Manager is responsible for leading and managing all operations of the Montblanc boutique, ensuring exceptional customer experience and the achievement of sales and profitability targets. This role requires a dynamic leader with a passion for luxury, a deep understanding of customer service, and the ability to inspire and develop a high-performing team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sales Management and Objectives:
- Develop and implement strategies to achieve and exceed the boutique's sales and KPIs targets.
- Monitor and analyze traffic, market trends and competition to identify growth opportunities.
- Manage the boutique's budget and control expenses.
- Clienteling & Customer Experience:
- Ensuring the growth of the customer database and improve its quality.
- Ensure that every customer receives personalized and high-quality service, creating a memorable shopping experience.
- Resolve customer complaints and issues efficiently and professionally.
- Foster long-term relationships with customers, building a loyal customer base.
- Team Management:
- Recruit, train, and develop a highly motivated and competent sales team.
- Set clear performance objectives and provide regular feedback.
- Create a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Manage staff schedules and ensure adequate boutique coverage.
- MKT, Product Management and Visual Merchandising:
- Design and enhance marketing initiatives aligned with the boutique's needs, in collaboration with the Retail and Marketing departments.
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of Montblanc products, including their history, features, and benefits.
- Develop a deep understanding of inventory through rigorous analysis of sales performance, focusing on sales and profitability.
- Oversee the visual presentation of the boutique, ensuring it aligns with Montblanc brand standards.
- Manage boutique inventory, minimizing losses and maximizing product availability.
- Manage warehouse space by structuring and organizing it.
- Boutique Operations:
- Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures.
- Manage boutique security and protect company assets.
- Supervise boutique maintenance, ensuring it is clean, tidy, and in good condition.
- Reporting:
- Prepare sales reports and other management reports as needed.
- Regularly communicate boutique performance to management.
Requirements:
- Demonstrable experience of at least 3-5 years in sales management within the luxury sector, preferably in a high-end boutique.
- Experience in managing a P&L (Profit and Loss) and budgeting.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills, with a proven ability to motivate and develop staff.
- Passion for customer service and creating exceptional shopping experiences.
- In-depth knowledge of Luxury Sector (products and market trends), with a particular focus on the Writing instruments, Watchmaking or Leather sector.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with high-level clients and the team.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability to change.
- Proficiency in Spanish and English (other languages are an advantage).
- Proficient computer skills (MS Office, point-of-sale systems), with experience in inventory management and CRM software.
- Academic background in business administration, marketing or a related field (desirable).
- Availability to travel occasionally for meetings, brand events or training.
