Job summary :
The Head of Merchandizing leads the end-to-end merchandising function for S.APAC Retail Boutiques, driving product strategy, assortment planning, and inventory performance to maximize sales, margin, and sell-through. Acting as the regional product authority, this role bridges HQ strategy with on-the-ground commercial realities across multiple markets, while partnering closely with Retail, Visual Merchandising, Supply Chain, and Store/Operations teams.
This position demands sharp commercial instincts, strong analytical capability, and the credibility to influence cross-functional stakeholders at all levels.
TASKS :
Merchandising Strategy & Assortment Planning
- Define and execute seasonal merchandising plans and product mix strategies in alignment with brand positioning and commercial targets.
- Manage the full OTB workflow for S.APAC boutiques — from forecasting and new launch planning to store-level allocations, replenishment, and ageing stock action plans.
- Optimize the product offer across markets to ensure the right balance between availability, freshness, and local relevance, maintaining inventory health in line with company policy.
- Act as the regional voice to HQ, advocating for market-specific needs including exclusives, Haute Maroquinerie, and new launch priorities that support the retail action plan.
- Collaborate with HQ Merchandising and Logistics to secure the right assortment and quantities at all times.
- Partner with Retail and Visual Merchandising teams to monitor merchandise implementation quality, sell-through effectiveness, and floor performance — flagging issues early and driving corrective actions.
- Support wholesale partners on product assortment, sell-in preparation, and performance follow-up.
Training
- In collaboration with HQ training department, deliver product, leather, and craftsmanship
training for boutique teams, ensuring strong product knowledge and consistent client-facing storytelling.
- Plan and execute regular training refreshers to maintain engagement and knowledge retention.
- Provide product training support to wholesale partners as needed.
Reporting & Commercial Insight
- Produce regular regional performance reviews with clear, actionable recommendations for management.
- Build compelling merchandising narratives — translating data into insight: (what happened, why, and what we will do next
- Conduct competitor price checks and gather product feedback to identify local market opportunities and share it with HQ.
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience in a senior merchandising role within luxury fashion or premium retail with APAC market exposure.
- Advanced proficiency in data analysis and performance reporting; comfortable working across large datasets to drive decisions.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills — able to influence at HQ level and collaborate effectively across functions.
- Detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced, multi-market environment.
- Passion for product, craftsmanship, and the luxury client experience.
