About us
Richemont is a global leader in the luxury sector, with a prestigious portfolio of Maisons spanning jewellery, watchmaking, and fashion. We are committed to excellence, innovation, and protecting our heritage, while anticipating future challenges.
How will you make an impact?
We are looking for an experienced and agile Head of Insurance to shape how Richemont manages risk in an increasingly dynamic global environment. As Head of Insurance, you will provide strategic leadership across our Group non-life insurance portfolio, acting as a true business partner to senior leaders to protect our people, assets, and balance sheets, while enabling sustainable growth.
This is a distinctive hands-on leadership role where you will define the strategic direction of the function and advise senior leadership, while remaining closely involved in execution. You will be perfectly comfortable presenting to the CFO in the morning and spending the afternoon reviewing wording on a complex policy, coaching a team member through a claim, or preparing a Board paper. You will lead from within the team, actively contributing and supporting, while also empowering your team members to grow with trust and confidence. Your agility will allow you to comfortably navigate and engage with diverse activities and people, from brokers to individual contributors across the Group.
Reporting to the Group Treasurer, you will be a trusted advisor to senior leadership and play a key role within the Treasury & Risk Leadership Team.
Your Key Responsibilities will be:
- Strategic Leadership: Shape and execute the Group’s non-life insurance and risk strategy, ensuring it evolves alongside our business priorities and risk profile. You will act as an internal entrepreneur, understanding insurance not just as a cost, but as a critical component of risk financing.
- Influential Business Partnership: Partner closely with senior leaders across the organization, acting as an ambassador for the insurance function. You will provide commercially pragmatic insurance advice that supports strategic initiatives, operational resilience, and informed decision-making, focusing on influence rather than mere negotiation. Building strong relationships with our Maisons will be paramount.
- Program Management & Innovation: Lead the design, placement, and governance of Group’s non-life insurance programs, including captive strategy, insurer and broker relationships, and effective claims oversight. You will foster innovation, curiosity, and embrace new approaches, including automation and AI, to continuously improve our processes.
- Function Optimization: Continuously enhance the effectiveness of the insurance function by leveraging data, technology, and process improvements to optimize the Group's total cost of risk.
- Strategic Advice Acumen: Provide strategic insight to the Group Treasurer and Treasury Leadership Team on emerging risks, market developments, and opportunities to strengthen the Group's financial resilience.
- Empowering Team Leadership: Foster a culture of partnership, accountability, and continuous improvement while leading, developing, and inspiring a high-performing global insurance team. You will ensure the team has the space to grow, supported by your trust and confidence.
What We Are Looking For:

- Balances strategic thinking with a pragmatic, solution-oriented approach, demonstrating agility in adapting to new challenges and environments.
- Is naturally curious, innovative, and collaborative, committed to developing both people and the function, and not afraid to explore new technologies.
- Possesses a good radar, understanding organizational dynamics and how to navigate them effectively.
Your Key Skills & Competencies:
- Mature, assertive, and self-motivated, demonstrating a positive and proactive attitude.
- A visionary leader, able to inspire and influence a highly specialized team towards excellence and value-added impact on the organization.
