The Oldest Fine Leather Goods House in the World

Founded in 1829, Delvaux is a truly Belgian brand. In fact, it was even born before the Kingdom of Belgium, which was only established one year later, in 1830.

Created in Brussels by the innovative Charles Delvaux, la Maison has remained at the forefront of luxury leather goods for nearly two centuries because of its savoir-faire, uncompromising craftsmanship and the outstanding quality of its creations.

 

MAIN PURPOSE

Responsible for leading, managing and coordinating all visual merchandising activities in Japan, including all BTQs, Pop-up, Pop-in and events (ex. Gaisho events, Retail Events and Family Sale.

Key Responsibilities

  • Window
  • Prepare window display guideline appropriately for BTQ members.
  • Direct the update window display according to the guideline, including remote direction to the BTQ where is located in local area in Japan.
  • Prepare and report the window photo to MD Director and related stakeholders.
  • Prepare installation with vendor
  • BTQ visit / In store VM Maintenance
  • Visit all BTQs as much as possible, also plan and change visual display according to seasonal concept that is localized from HQ to Japan.
  • Share the theory and concept of Visual Merchandising guideline to BTQ staff in order to keep BTQs to the view Delvaux's world.
  • Prepare and update visual concepts when BTQs , popup events and other events upon inquiry.
  • Prepare a whole visual display when some BTQ needs opening / renewal.
  • Modify the visual concept and display of BTQ in right timing according to the latest sales contexts.
  • VM guideline
  • Localize VM guideline in co-operation with MD team.
  • Understand the headquarters direction of VM well, also translate and implemented the updated guideline for Japan’s all BTQs to get BTQ staff to understand global VM concept well.
  • Prepare seasonal VM guideline at least twice a year.
  • Plan and deliver monthly VM guideline to all BTQs in order to direct the update visual presence in BTQ.
  • Share the theory and concept of Visual Merchandising guideline to BTQ staff in order to keep BTQs to the view Delvaux's world.
  • Event
  • Whenever there is a set up in terms of VM, try to participate physically
  • Plan and Preparation
  • Budget management ( A&P )
  • Manage VM Tools, Fixtures and Development

Required Competencies

  • Effective team player and networker
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and client orientation skills
  • Fluency in Japanese and business level of English

Additional Requirements

  • 3-5 years VMD experience in Retail industry. Luxury brand experience preferable.
  • Deep understanding of retail business ( client journey )and fashion and department store industries.
