ROLE OVERVIEW
The Director of Corporate Facilities, NY is responsible for the smooth and efficient operation of the company’s physical workspaces across NY, CT and Canada. This role collaborates with Workplace and Facilities colleagues and key leaders to strategize, implement, and oversee all plans, projects, and initiatives related to all Richemont workplaces across the region. This includes managing internal and external resources, prioritizing needs, and providing technical expertise to ensure optimized workplace functionality that supports a safe, productive, comfortable work environment. Additionally, this role serves as the Region’s technical/mechanical expert, providing consultation to Richemont’s corporate locations, and collaborating with all areas of the business to execute workplace operational strategies.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategy and Planning Responsibilities
- Collaborate with key stakeholders in the ongoing evaluation of all assigned facilities to identify and prioritize short-term and long-term needs, create, and maintain a project roadmap, and ensure the appropriate allocation of resources, in alignment with Richemont Group’s Real Estate Guidelines.
- Plan and oversee the execution of all facilities-related activities, including moves, renovations, and maintenance, ensuring adherence to budgets and timelines.
- Lead operational and capex budget preparation, oversight, and reporting, in collaboration with Group and Region Real Estate/W&F leaders and Finance.
- Implement Richemont’s integrated facilities management strategy to improve operational excellence across the region’s workplace locations.
- Analyze maintenance trends and implement proactive solutions to minimize operational disruptions.
- Partner with the Director of Corporate Facilities, Southwest & LatAm and key stakeholders to establish facilities guidelines and best practices and define KPIs to drive performance.
Facilities Management
- Participate in budget preparation and development, capital planning, cash flow management, and production of monthly financial reports to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Execute long-term facilities strategies and define SLA’s/KPI’s for all 3rd party vendors across both hard and soft FM services
- Ensure optimum staffing structures across the portfolio balancing coverage and performance needs with the delivery of service excellence and financial resources.
- Ensure SLAs & KPIs are achieved and aligned with contractual agreements
- Ensure all required policies and procedures are adopted and used on-site
- Plan and manage the inspection and maintenance of facilities, related infrastructure, electrical, and mechanical equipment to ensure smooth, uninterrupted operations.
- Ensure Site FM Managers & Coordinators maintain accurate, timely, qualitative, and reliable management reporting
- Maintain awareness of and compliance with all relevant local, state, and federal regulations and requirements across all facilities.
- Lead the definition, monitoring and alignment of assigned Workplace & Facilities processes and procedures across Functions, Maisons, and work locations, and recommend efficiencies and improvements.
- Ensure rapid and reliable response to all Workplace & Facilities related employee requests.
- Serve as the escalation point for all technical/mechanical Workplace & Facilities matters across the Region.
- Partner with Health & Safety to maintain awareness and contribute to the execution of the Company’s Emergency Response plans as needed.
- Maintain positive, productive working relationships with property managers and relevant teams.
- Develop and maintain technical proficiency, industry knowledge, and communication skills to provide timely information on all property-specific issues as well as keep leadership informed of important developments and trends in the property and facility management industry.
- Promote and implement new technologies that will bring FM delivery to a higher level
Projects
- Lead and oversee all aspects of workspace management, construction, and maintenance projects at Richemont’s NY, CT and Canada work locations.
- Create, and maintain a project roadmap, define a project delivery process and ensure the appropriate allocation of resources.
- Define project scope, budgets, schedules, and deliverables in partnership with stakeholders.
- Manage client service and project communication, maintaining proactive communication throughout the project life cycle.
- Monitor and ensure adherence to budgets and financial expectations.
- Negotiate contracts and oversee compliance, risk management, and quality assurance.
- Maintain awareness of and compliance with all relevant local, state, and federal regulations and requirements across the region.
- Support project team with technical evaluations, advice, and guidance
Vendor Management
- Oversee the selection and management of vendors, contractors, and service providers; negotiate contracts, review performance, and manage relationships to ensure maintenance, repairs, and service needs are met, according to established agreements and standards.
- Oversee and facilitate, as necessary, the timely and accurate processing of all relevant vendor invoices.
- Support the Procurement Lead in negotiations of service contracts with outside vendors to achieve a balance between performance and cost
Sustainability
- Partner with the Region’s CSR leader to support and promote sustainable practices and resources across assigned locations, and make Workplace & Facilities related sustainability recommendations, in alignment with Group guidance, as necessary for renovations and new construction.
- Maintain awareness of sustainable, cost-effective Workplace & Facilities best practices, trends, and innovations, and make appropriate recommendations to leadership.
Leadership Responsibilities
- Prepare and deliver presentations and communications to senior leaders and key stakeholders.
- Provide motivating and inspiring leadership to direct reports and their teams, driving the delivery of high-quality service and performance, and supporting employee growth and professional development.
- Provide technical expertise and consultation to the organization with respect to facilities-related mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and structural components.
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- AED/First Aid certification preferred.
Professional Experience
- 10+ years of corporate facilities management, including 5+ years of large buildings or multi campus experience, preferably in a luxury environment.
Competencies
- Understanding of building codes, safety regulations, permits, ADA, sustainability/energy management, and related compliance requirements.
- Understanding of architectural schematics and drawings.
- Clear, concise, and professional written and verbal communication skills.
- Exceptional organization and project management skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively and with confidence at all levels of the organization.
- Demonstrated agility and adaptability to manage multiple complex projects across different facilities.
- Proficient use of technology tools, e.g., intranet platforms, SharePoint, Microsoft Office applications, etc. Familiarity with SAP, a plus.

Travel
This role is based in New York, NY and travels routinely between the company’s Shelton, CT and Canada locations.
