Role insight
You will be responsible for the inspection & authentication of all watches arriving into the logistics Hub, using expert attention to detail you will inspect all new Watchfinder stock assessing watch condition, detailing any imperfections. You will also be involved in the authentication process working closely with other Watchfinder inspection staff to determine the authentication of all new product.
Working closely with manufacturers you will obtain quotations or work needed, managing the approval process, coordinating and dispatching watches in an efficient and timely manner.
Responsibilities
Conducting the inspection process of all new potential Watchfinder stock
Taking a set of pre-defined images of each watch for authentication.
Liaising with servicing inspection team in other platforms to ensure authenticity of new product.
Removing and refitting case backs using specialist equipment where the upmost care is taken during this operation
Adding detailed information to servicing reports on TS to record condition, mechanical function of watches. This includes using machinery to complete Timing & Water Resistance checks.
Exterior assessment of the watch, detailing any knocks, marks/dents etc.
Making recommendations on what if any external parts need to be replaced to restore condition of watch
Assist with inventory control processes (e.g. daily/weekly/monthly counts and stock movements) to ensure a successful inventory. (Stock Audits & Daily Stock Counts)
Warranty inspection process – You will need to complete a diagnosis process to identify faults with warranty returns
Processing work upon notifications given by UK as to how watches are to be repaired and made ready for sale
Fitting and removal of straps and bracelet adjustments
Liaise with members of staff to keep them up to date with due dates, delays etc.
Identify and deal proactively with any delays or problems that may arise.
Be responsible for photographing the watches during the qc process
Authenticate watches from your own knowledge after sufficient training and experience
Fit batteries to incoming quartz watches
Support with Parts and service workload including but not limited to ordering parts, accepting service quotes, liaising with external repairers
Train new staff on Remote authentication process and authenticate watches they test
Support Service manager with tasks and be point of call when needed
Deal with incoming warranty returns and communicate effectively with aftersales and service manager
Qualifications
Excellent organizational skills, with a keen eye for detail and ability to relay technical information
Commercially astute, understand the principles of customer service
Methodical approach to work
Able to communicate effectively over the phone, via email and face-to-face
Vigilant, ability to identify problems before they arise. This should be dealt with in a quick and professional manner and not to delay customers on updates
Conscientious, someone who understands customer requirements and has worked in a customer focused role
Ability to multi-task and enjoy working within a busy environment
Able to follow processes and procedures
Native speaker in the local language, fluent in English and any other languages would be beneficial
Dexterity to be able to perform basic watch intervention such as case back removal as well as straps and link adjustments.
