The Commercial Director is responsible for defining and implementing the comprehensive commercial strategy, KPIs and roadmap for Jaeger-LeCoultre in the market, encompassing sales, business development, and market expansion across internal boutiques, external boutiques and multi-brand networks.

This includes driving high-end sales and maximizing overall market share and profitability, driving a merchandising strategy, optimize assortments, and maximize performance by managing and coaching internal and external teams.

This role will oversee the commercial budget and P&L, manage sales forecasts, and actively contribute to the long-term business plan and yearly strategic plan, in close collaboration with the brand’s Managing Director and APAC/HQ marketing, and support teams, this role ensures the achievement of ambitious revenue, profitability, and brand equity development goals for the region.

How you will make an impact:

Commercial Strategy & Performance:

  • Define the commercial strategy and roadmap
  • Manage performance of our internal & external boutique network by establishing clear development roadmaps to increase productivity and driven by KPI.
  • Define similar roadmaps to drive the performance of our Watch specialists multi-brand network performance and continue to strengthen partnership with our retailers at every hierarchy level and including regular visits to POS.
  • Drive the merchandizing strategy by optimizing and updating assortments for the WS network, in alignment with the global strategy and using the different IT tool developed internally.
  • Develop high end sales in both retail and wholesale. Animate the network and drive discussion on this product segment. Get and give clarity on the availability and lead-time for the whole network.
  • Maximize our omnichannel performance, while managing and coaching our internal Ecom and CRC teams
  • Develop strong relationships with our VICs
  • Provide insights from the market on competition and trends
  • Actively contribute to build the long-term business plan as well as yearly strategic plan
  • P&L ownership of the commercial department
  • Collaborate closely with HQ/APAC on strategic initiatives that contribute to the brand equity development for the region and its markets

Retail Excellence:

  • Define key strategies for the Maison in retail and client-centric environment
  • Elevate the retail operations by identifying business needs , guaranteeing the highest standards of boutique operations in line with compliance and enhancing the Maison’s performance
  • Develop measurable and impactful KPIs and define strategy and action plans to motivate and lead retail teams with clear directions based on the Maison’s goals and long-term visions
  • Benchmark and drive hospitality and client-centric initiatives to deliver memorable in-boutique experiences for sustainable growth

Team Management & Talent Development

  • Inspire, coach and manage team members to create a passionate environment and strong watchmaking culture ( including product and maison history)
  • Develop hand-in-hand with HR on career path to grow our commercial & retail talents
  • Nurture the retail culture and diffuse a strong Retail mindset in the region
  • Foster new ideas that bring added-value to the Maison by providing cohesive and entrepreneurial environment

What you will possess:

  • Strong leadership, interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Deep understanding of retail and wholesale performance, including levers that drive each businesses
  • Experience supporting growth through transparency, consistency, and disciplined execution. Must be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously, and organize workload to meet organizational timelines in a fast paced, high-growth environment
  • Demonstrated ability to be operationally savvy in retail environment. High curiosity and desire to seek out new trends and best practices to elevate operational excellence.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint) and ability to quickly learn and adapt to new internal IT systems and tools
  • Digital mindset & ability to encourage others to adapt to new technologies & trends.
  • Experience in working transversally with all key functions in a market/HQ
  • High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation, with a track record for delivering to plan
  • Global Mindset & Curiosity: Experience working in international and global environments
  • Flexibility to adapt quickly to changing circumstances; able to proactively question and challenge to prioritize and identify solutions in timely manner
  • Clear thinker with outstanding numeric ability supported by a rounded commercial awareness
