MAIN PURPOSE

Richemont is seeking a talented and highly motivated Product Solution Engineer for Article Master Data Management (MDM) to bridge business needs and product capabilities. This critical role will be instrumental in the design, configuration, implementation, and maintenance of Article Master (SAP IS Retail solution), Batch Master, SAP classification solutions, Retail listing, assortment, and reference handling. The candidate must be able to analyze processes, capture requirements, design functional specifications, and configure standard rules within the product solutions (SAP, SaaS, rules engines).

The candidate should ensure that business problems are framed correctly and that product changes remain coherent, scalable, and aligned with product guardrails. As a Product Solution Engineer, you must understand the end-to-end luxury product processes and the criticality of Article Master Data across central, regional, and Maison finance teams worldwide.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Business analysis & requirements:

  • Analyze business processes end-to-end, specifically related to Article Master Data.

  • Translate business needs into functional requirements for Article MDM solutions.

  • Document user stories, acceptance criteria, and use cases related to master data.

  • Challenge requests to align with product strategy and standards for Article MDM.

  • Support product strategy development by incrementally improving solutions and designing robust business scenarios and use cases.

  • Implement new requirements driven by changes in accounting rules, legal regulations, enhancements, or business model adjustments.

  • Evaluate stories and propose effective, scalable solutions for Article MDM.

Functional configuration & Implementation:

  • Design, configure, implement, and maintain Article Master (SAP Retail), Batch Master, SAP classification solutions, Retail listing, assortment, and reference handling.

  • Configure rules, master data, and functional settings within SAP Retail and related systems.

  • Validate configuration through testing and scenarios.

  • Ensure configuration adheres to product constraints and guardrails for Article MDM.

  • Provide complex support for mass updates in backend ERP and master data interfaces.

  • Manage master data migrations and ensure data quality.

Collaboration with Product Owners & Teams:

  • Cultivate professional and trusting relationships with product owners and team members, fostering a collaborative environment.

  • Support prioritization and backlog refinement for Article MDM initiatives.

  • Provide process insights and impact analysis related to master data.

  • Validate feasibility with technical teams and subject matter experts.

  • Provide essential support to Richemont’s MDM Level 2 and FTS Support teams.

  • Work extensively with a range of applications, primarily SAP Retail, focusing on all master data within SAP Retail (a module background in SAP MM, SD, or SAP eWM (Logistics) is an advantage), serving central, regional, and Maison finance teams worldwide.

Testing & quality:

  • Prepare test cases and validation steps for Article MDM solutions.

  • Support UAT with business users.

Continuous improvement:

  • Drive continuous improvement for master data solutions and templates.

  • Suggest optimizations to processes and user experience within Article MDM.

  • Document functional knowledge and contribute to playbooks for master data.

  • Promote the adoption of Agile practices and foster a culture of continuous improvement within the team.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

General Experience:

  • University degree in Information Technology, Engineering, or certified SAP qualifications (e.g., Business Informatics, Business Administration).

  • At least 5 years of project and maintenance experience with SAP in Article Master Data functional areas (SAP Retail, Batch Master, SAP classification, Retail listing, assortment, reference handling).

  • Proven ability to seamlessly switch between IT and business mindsets, translating technical capabilities into business value.

  • Reliable and responsible when handling sensitive data, consistently prioritizing compliance and security.

Technical Skills:

  • Extensive knowledge and hands-on experience in complex SAP integration scenarios and customization within SAP (e.g., localization, IDOCs, APIs, integration with SD, MM, CS, Logistics, and FICO).

  • Knowledge of SAP Retail configuration and master data management.

  • Ability to learn and master innovative technologies such as BTP, S/4HANA, and PEGA.

  • Experience in Event-Driven Architecture, APIs, and Federated Platforms is a plus.

  • Knowledge of and experience with Agile methodology.

Functional Skills:

  • Substantial knowledge of Article Master Data processes and their criticality, including SAP Retail, Batch Master, SAP classification solutions, Retail listing, assortment, and reference handling.

  • Good knowledge of master data interfaces and mass update processes.

  • Ability to integrate with and cooperate with adjacent modules/domains: MM, SD, CS, Logistics, and FICO.

  • Understanding of accounting rules, legal regulations, and their impact on master data.

  • Enthusiasm for technology and complex challenges, with the capacity to liaise directly with senior consultants and business stakeholders.

  • Aptitude for learning and understanding new IT systems and business applications.

Languages:

  • English: Very good professional proficiency.

  • French: A plus.
